BEAN SOUP 
1 can chick peas
1 can navy beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can northern beans
1 can black beans
5-6 carrots, sliced
Parsley
3-4 stalks celery
3-4 onions, chopped
3-4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 ripe tomato or sm. can tomato sauce
2 qt. water or more
Ham bone or bacon or salt pork
1/4 c. oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Saute garlic, onions, and ham in oil; add carrots and celery and spices. Add water and all other ingredients. Cook about 1 hour. Serve. If desired top with grated Romano or Parmesan cheese.
