"ORIENTAL KABOBS" | |
2 lb. lean boneless pork 1 clove garlic 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch 1 1/2 green pepper 4 1/4 tsp. sesame seed 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 c. soy sauce 1/2 c. sliced green onion 1/2 c. unsweetened pineapple juice 1/4 tsp. pepper Cut the pork into 20 pieces. Combine pineapple juice, green onion, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame seed and pepper, and place in a large bowl; add pork meat pieces. Cover; place it in the refrigerator overnight. Drain pork meat; reserve marinade. In saucepan, blend cornstarch and 2 1/2 tablespoons water, stir in reserved marinade. Cook and stir until thickened. Cut green pepper into approximate 1 inch squares. Thread pepper on 8 skewers putting one piece of meat and 1 square of pepper alternated. Grill over medium coals 5 to 7 minutes. Turn kabobs, grill until done, 5 to 7 minutes more brushing with sauce from time to time. Serves 8. |
