REAL SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. white sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
1/8 lb. butter, melted
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. pecan meat, chopped
A few pecan halves
9" uncooked pie shell
Vanilla ice cream

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix eggs with sugar, syrup, butter, salt and chopped pecans. Pour into pie shell and decorate with pecan halves. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 35 minutes more. Serve with vanilla ice cream after letting pie stand at room temperature for a few hours.
