CHOCOLATE COOKIE SHEET CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening or butter
1 c. water
3 tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, sugar and salt. In saucepan, put shortening, water and cocoa. Bring to a boil. Pour over flour mixture. In another bowl put eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Add to other mixture and mix well. Bake in greased cookie sheet pan for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Start icing during the last 5 minutes of baking time.

ICING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 tbsp. milk
1 lb. box powdered sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix cocoa, milk and butter in saucepan. Melt on low heat, DO NOT BOIL. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar, chopped pecans, vanilla; mix well. Frost cake as soon as it is removed from oven.
