APPLE - WALNUT COBBLER 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. chopped nuts
4 c. thinly sliced apples
1 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt, optional
1 egg, beaten
1/3 c. butter, melted
3/4 c. milk

Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Place apples in bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture, saving some for top. Sift together dry ingredients. Combine egg, milk and butter. Mix until smooth. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 55 minutes or until done. Rhubarb may be used in place of apples.
