MOIST CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
3 c. self-rising flour
1 c. canned peaches, finely chopped
1 c. peach juice
1 box raisins
1 qt. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pt. fig preserves

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Turn into 1 large or 2 small cake pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
