LAYERED LETTUCE SALAD 
1/2 med. head lettuce, washed & torn into bite-size pieces
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 green pepper, chopped
10 oz. pkg. frozen peas, defrosted, not cooked
1 med. red onion, chopped
1 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. salad oil
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, fried crisp & crumbled

In a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish layer first lettuce, then celery, then green peas, pepper and onion. Mix together mayonnaise, salad oil, sugar and Parmesan. Gently spread over layered ingredients. Sprinkle cheese and bacon on top. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 24 hours. You may add firm ripe tomatoes, cauliflower or broccoli to this or leave out any vegetables except lettuce if you wish.
