CARAMEL CRISPIX 
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white Karo syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
8 c. Crispix
1 1/4 c. mixed nuts

Combine first 4 ingredients in large microwavable bowl. Microwave on high for 2 1/2 minutes. Stir. Cook 2 1/2 minutes more. Add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. Stir well.

In double paper grocery bag, mix cereal and nuts. Pour caramel mixture in. Shake and microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake again. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes more. Pour onto jelly roll pan to cool and break up.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
