SWEET VEGETABLE RELISH 
3 lbs. cabbage
2 lbs. green tomatoes
3 sweet green peppers, chopped
3 sweet red peppers, chopped
4 lg. onions, chopped
1 qt. cider vinegar
4 c. sugar
1 tsp. each ground allspice, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed
1 tbsp. granulated salt

Force cabbage through coarse blade of food chopper and measure (2 quarts will be needed). Grind tomatoes, measure 1 quart and drain off juice. Put all ingredients in large kettle. Mix well and bring to boil. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently for 1 hour or until thick and translucent. Pack in 7 hot sterilized pint jars to within 1/2 inch of top and seal.
