3 lbs. of cabbage 1 lg. red pepper 1 lg. green pepper 1 lg. carrot 1 heaping tbsp. celery seed 1 c. vinegar 1 c. sugar 2 c. water Salt to taste Pepper to taste Heat sugar, vinegar and water. Bring to boil. Let mixture get cold. Grate cabbage, add celery seed, salt and peppers and carrot that have been finely chopped. Mix and pour cold vinegar mixture over cabbage. Thoroughly mix all ingredients and put in glass containers. Store in refrigerator to keep cold. slaw will keep for months. |
