1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. water
1 tbsp. cooking oil
Food coloring

Mix flour, salt and cream of tartar in a saucepan. (Do not omit cream of tartar.) Add water, oil and food coloring. Cook, stirring for 3 minutes, or until mixture pulls away from pan. Knead immediately. Store in an airtight container. This recipe makes enough play dough for 6 children.
