MRS. WHEATS COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 1/4 c. soft butter
3 lg. eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. each, ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins (I use golden)
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. chopped dates, may omit
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift all dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugars together. Add eggs and cream well. Add raisins, pecans and dates and mix well. Add milk alternately with flour mixture until well blended. Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes about 12 or 13 dozen.
