2 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. (small can) evaporated milk
1 c. marshmallow creme
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
6 oz. semi sweet chocolate pieces
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Combine 1st five ingredients in heavy 2 qt. sauce pan. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Boil gently and stir 5 minutes more. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate pieces. Stir until melted. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into buttered pan. Cool and cut into pieces.
