COFFEE CAKE (SOUR CREAM) 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cardamom
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 pt. sour cream
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar. Sift together flour, soda, baking powder, salt, and cardamom. Add vanilla, eggs, and sour cream. Combine walnuts, 1/4 cup sugar, and cinnamon. Cut half in batter, reserve remainder for top of cake. Bake in tube pan for 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
