2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter or shortening
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. water
2 eggs
1 lb. bag M&M'S®

Mix together flour, soda and salt. Set aside. Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar, vanilla and water; beat until creamy. Beat in 2 eggs. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in 1 pound of M&M'S®.

Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. It's best to use a wooden spoon instead of a beater. Patrick's great, great grandmother did and it's a tradition, also the best cookies too!
