CARAMEL APPLE CAKE 
1 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. soft butter
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. peeled, finely chopped apples
1/2 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan, lightly flour. In large bowl combine first 10 ingredients. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Stir in nuts and raisins. Pour into pan. Bake 30-40 minutes. Cool. In small bowl, blend frosting ingredients until smooth. Spread on cool cake.

FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2-3 tbsp. milk
