ELLIE'S WILD RICE HOTDISH 
1/2 c. wild rice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. bacon
1 med. onion
1 c. diced celery
2 c. water
1/2 c. brown rice
1 lb. ground beef
Salt and pepper

Bring 2 cups water, wild rice, and salt to boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 45-60 minutes until rice has puffed. May substitute beef or chicken broth for the water. Cook the brown rice according to directions. Fry bacon crisp and crumble. Brown ground beef, onion, salt, pepper, and celery. Mix all ingredients and bake at 350 degrees until moisture is absorbed.
