ELECTRIC FREEZER OR HAND FREEZER ICE CREAM | |
2 c. milk 3 egg yolks 1 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 2 c. light or table cream 4 tsp. vanilla 1. Scald milk in a double boiler. 2. Beat egg yolks, sugar and salt. 3. Pour scalded milk over beaten mixture. 4. Return mixture to double boiler and cook until it coats a spoon. 5. Allow mixture to cool. 6. Add the cream and vanilla and freeze. Makes 2 quarts. Double this for 1 gallon. |
