LEMON NUT BREAD 
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Grated rind of one lemon

Set oven to 350 degrees. Grease large loaf pan.

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture until just blended. Bake one hour. Glaze.

GLAZE:

1/4 c. white sugar
3 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix well. Pour glaze over hot bread and allow to cool before removing from pan.
