KFKITS 
1 lg. can crushed tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
Optional, 6 oz. water for thinner sauce
1+ med. to lg. onion, diced
1 clove fresh garlic, crushed
2 tbsp. olive oil
2+ tsp. chili powder
3/4+ tsp. meat tenderizer (sub. salt or salt substitute)
3/4+ tsp. black pepper
Oregano
Red pepper or one hot Oriental or chili pepper broken up

I am no fan of basil, but feel free to add a leaf.

Turn up or turn down the heat to taste. You may want to start with 1 teaspoon chili powder.

In a medium pan on a medium heat combine ingredients, starting with olive oil, stirring them in. Cover and simmer 40 minutes, stirring regularly. Your parve sauce is ready for dinner, so why isn't your pasta ready? Stored, reheated sauce is spicier.
