CHEESE STRAWS 
1 lb. extra sharp New York Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. (or less) red pepper
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking powder

Combine cheese and butter to smooth paste. Sift pepper and flour together. Work into cheese mixture. Put into a cookie press with small star disc. Press onto greased cookie sheet in long strands. Sprinkle with salt. Bake 400 degrees until light brown, 10 minutes. Break into pieces when cooled.
