EARTHQUAKE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 3.5 oz. can sweetened coconut flakes 1 c. chopped nuts 1/4 c. butter 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 1 lb. powdered sugar Prepare cake mix batter as directed on package. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan. Cover bottom of pan with nuts and coconut. Pour batter over. Melt butter; add cream cheese and powdered sugar. Stir to blend. Spoon over batter. Bake for 40 to 42 minutes. You can't test for doneness with this sticky cake. The icing sinks and makes a gooey white ribbon throughout. |
