OATMEAL-BUTTER CRISPS 
2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
6 c. quick oatmeal

Cream butter, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, eggs. In another bowl mix flour, salt, baking soda. Gradually mix the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Add oatmeal and mix.

Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned. Underbake a little and cookies will be soft and chewy. This recipe makes a large batch of cookies.
