HOMEMADE ICE CREAM 
1 egg
1/4 c. honey
1 c. milk
1/2 c. cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Beat together egg and honey in a 3 pound coffee can. Add milk, cream, vanilla, and salt. Put a layer of ice in the bottom of a 5-quart ice cream pail. Sprinkle ice with a spoonful of table salt. Put plastic lid on coffee can and set can on top of ice. Pack more ice and salt around can, almost to the top. Take off lid and stir with a big spoon letting the can turn, too. Keep stirring for 15 to 30 minutes to form a mush.

To make it harder, add more salt and ice, cover the whole thing and let set for an hour or two.
