SPANISH RICE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 1/2 c. Minute Rice 1/2 c. thinly sliced onion 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes 1 c. hot water 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 1/2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese Brown ground beef in a large skillet, drain off all but 2 tablespoons fat. Add rice and onion to skillet. Cook and stir until lightly browned. Stir in tomatoes, water and garlic salt. Bring to boil, cover and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 of cheese. Heat just to melt cheese. Sprinkle with remaining cheese just before serving. Serves 6. |
