ALL BRAN BROWN BREAD 
1 c. All Bran
1/2 c. raisins
2 tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. hot water
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix first 4 ingredients. Add water. Stir until shortening melts. Add egg and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add with All Bran. Mix only until combined. Fill 2 greased baked bean cans 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Or use an 8x8 inch pan and bake for 35 minutes.

When using cans, cut out the bottom to remove bread. Makes nice, round slices.
