CHINESE CHEWS 
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. flour

Mix above with fingers, press into bottom of an 8"x10" pan, bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

FILLING:

2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. nuts, ground
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Beat with mixer and spread over top. Bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes. Test with toothpick to see if filling is too wet. Cool and cut in squares to serve.
