SWEET AND SOUR MOCK DUCK | |
1 tsp. brown sugar 3-4 tbsp. boiling water 1 tsp. wine vinegar 1 tsp. catsup 1 tsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. cornstarch 2 lbs. chicken thighs or legs with thighs 1. Dieter's sweet and sour sauce (diet version of duck sauce, 30 calories per tablespoon). Dissolve brown sugar in boiling water; stir in preserves, vinegar, catsup and soy sauce. 2. Dissolve cornstarch in 1 tablespoon water. Add to sweet and sour sauce and stir. 3. Remove skin from chicken. Arrange in shallow baking dish; spoon part of sauce over. 4. Bake in 375 degree oven, basting occasionally for 50 minutes. 6 servings. 159 calories each. |
