APPLE POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. cooking oil (Wesson)
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
3 lg. apples, cut into sm. pieces
1 c. pecans, chopped

Combine the oil, sugar and eggs and beat for three minutes. Add flour, salt, soda and vanilla. Fold in apples and pecans. Bake in greased tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 25 minutes. Cool and pour on sauce.

SAUCE FOR APPLE POUND CAKE:

1 stick butter
2 tsp. milk
1/2 c. light brown sugar

Cook all ingredients about 15 minutes. Pour on cake.
