PRUNE CAKE 
1 c. cooking oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. prunes or 1 big jar of junior size baby food prunes

Mix oil and sugar and well beaten eggs. Sift together all dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Add vanilla, nuts and prunes. Bake in greased and floured stem pan for about 45 minutes at 325 degrees.
