POPCORN BALLS | |
4 c. miniature marshmallows 1/4 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla extract or other flavor 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. food color; optional 3 qt. unsalted popped corn In a heavy 5 quart Dutch oven over low heat, stir marshmallows and butter until melted, remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and if desired food color. Add popcorn and stir until well coated. With buttered hands, quickly shape into balls. If mixture begins to cool, heat pan slightly and stir popcorn mixture. Wrap each ball in plastic wrap or store in an airtight container. Makes 12 (3 inch) or 25 (2 inch) balls. |
