BREAKFAST MAIN DISH | |
16-20 slices English muffins, trim crusts and butter one side Enough thinly sliced ham to cover a 9x13 inch pan 1/2 lb. sliced Cheddar cheese 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese 8 eggs 3 c. milk 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. salt Approx. 1 1/2 c. corn flakes (crushed) 1/4 c. melted butter Grease 9x13 inch pan. Place half of the bread slices in pan, butter side up. Layer the following on top - bread, cheese, ham and another layer of bread on top. Cover with the following egg mixture: eggs, milk, mustard and salt. Refrigerate 8-12 hours. Sprinkle with crumbs just before baking and pour melted butter over crumbs. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour. SAUCE FOR TOP: 4 c. sour cream 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 tsp. pimento Fresh, sliced mushrooms |
