WINTER FRUIT SALAD 
Drain one can pineapple chunks, saving juice. Drain 2 cans mandarin oranges, discard juice. Maraschino cherries and bananas.

Cook one large package vanilla pudding with 1 1/2 cups of combined pineapple and real orange juice according to directions on package (substitute the juice for milk).

Cool 5 minutes and add 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Mix pineapple, oranges, maraschino cherries, and bananas with clear fruit sauce.

This "pudding" sauce is a great base for ALL fruit salads.

In summer substitute red and green grapes for cherries, add other fruits in season.
