BEANS (OKLAHOMA-STYLE) 
2 c. dry pinto beans
1 c. chopped onion
1/4 lb. salt pork, diced
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tsp. salt
Tabasco to taste
2 (1 lb.) cans stewed tomatoes
3/4 c. chopped green peppers
1 tbsp. sugar
Dash black pepper

Soak beans overnight covered with water. Do not drain. Add onion, salt pork, garlic and salt. Cover and simmer 2 hours over low heat. Add tomatoes, green pepper, Tabasco, sugar and black pepper. Cover and cook about 3 more hours or until tender. Serve with cornbread. Yummy.
