MEXICAN LASAGNE 
3/4 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 pkg. taco mix
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
8 oz. shredded Cheddar
1 c. cottage cheese
1 c. sour cream
1 (7 oz.) tortilla chips

Saute ground beef, drain fat. Add onions, garlic powder, taco mix and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Set aside.

In large bowl, mix cottage cheese and sour cream. In a deep 2-quart casserole, layer 1/3 chips, 1/2 meat sauce, 1/2 Cheddar cheese and 1/2 cottage cheese mix. Repeat layers. Cover with remaining chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
