CALIFORNIA QUICHE | |
1 pie crust, unbaked 1 lb. Monterey Jack, shredded 5 eggs 1/4 c. heavy cream 1/2 lb. ham or turkey ham, diced 1/2 white onion, chopped 1 tbsp. butter Melt butter in frying pan. Fry onion until soft but not brown. Set aside to cool. Meanwhile mix Monterey Jack, eggs, cream and ham until well blended. Add onions. Pour into pie crust. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 30 minutes, stirring once during baking time. Quiche should be firm to touch, not runny, when done. Serve hot, with green salad. Feeds 4 adults. |
