ANISE COOKIES 
4 eggs, well beaten
2 2/3 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. anise oil, or more
Maraschino cherries, cut in half
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. honey
3 1/2 to 4 c. flour

Beat eggs well, beat in sugar gradually, add honey and anise oil, then flour. Roll into balls the size of a walnut, put on greased pan and put 1/2 cherry in center and bake 350 degrees about 10 minutes.
