1/2 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. orange extract
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
Sifted powdered sugar

Cream butter and shortening; gradually add 2/3 cup sugar and flavorings, beating until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour; beat well. Stir in chopped pecans. Shape into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove immediately from cookie sheet and roll in powdered sugar. Cool and roll again in powdered sugar. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
