PEANUT BUTTER PIE 
Pie crust
1/3 c. cornstarch
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 egg yolks, beaten
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. scalded milk
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
3 egg whites
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Make pie crust and bake it. For pie filling, mix together cornstarch, 2/3 cup sugar, salt, yolks and butter; add scalded milk and cook until thick. Make peanut butter mix by mixing powdered sugar and peanut butter. Put the peanut butter mix on the bottom of the pie crust, except 3 tablespoons; pour in the cooked pie filling. Make the meringue by beating egg whites until stiff. Beat in 3 tablespoons sugar until it dissolves and will stand at a peak. Add vanilla. Put meringue on top of pie. Then sprinkle on the rest of the peanut butter mix. Bake at 300 degrees until brown.
