CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (4 serving) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts, optional

Combine butter, the sugars, vanilla and pudding mix. Beat until smooth. Does best with mixer. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour and soda (batter will be stiff). Stir in chips and nuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. About 7 dozen. Use instant chocolate pudding, or butterscotch with butterscotch chips. Never have to add more flour!
