SCOTCH SHORTBREAD 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 c. sifted flour

Cream butter and sugar. Add flour. Mix well and lightly. Dough will get tough if handled too much. Chill; roll out and cut in circles or roll in balls. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes, then at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
