PEANUT PATTIES 
2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. cream (evaporated milk does fine also)
3 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together sugar, syrup, cream and peanuts. Cook for 1 hour over very low heat and add butter and vanilla. Beat until creamy and spoon out on wax paper to form patties. Add red cake coloring if desired.
