PEANUT PATTIES 
2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. evaporated milk
3 c. raw Spanish peanuts
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. powdered sugar

Mix sugar, milk and peanuts. Cook over low heat for 1 hour. Add butter, vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat until creamy and spoon out on wax paper to form patties. Add red cake coloring if desired while beating.
