MOSTACCISLI WITH MUSHROOMS AND
PEAS
 
1/4 lb. bacon, fried and diced
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 c. (16 oz. can) stewed tomatoes with liquid
2 c. peas (frozen) thawed and drained
1 tbsp. dried basil
3 c. (8 oz.) mostaccisli, uncooked

In large skillet, fry bacon until crisp; add mushrooms, onions and garlic and cook, stirring constantly until onion is tender but not brown. Add tomatoes wit liquid, peas and basil; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer around 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cook mostaccisli according to package directions; drain. Toss with tomato bacon mixture. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
