ANGEL FOOD CAKE SURPRISE FILLING 
1 cup heavy cream, whipped
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup maraschino cherries, quartered
1/4 cup walnuts

Combine heavy cream with sugar and vanilla. Fold in maraschino cherries and walnuts. Chill.

Angel food cake (I bake my own, packaged mix) with serrated knife, cut 1 inch from top all around. Then cut out 2 inches wide and 2 inches deep from center. Take out that part (save for further use) and fill the hollowed part with the chilled filling. Replace the 1 inch slice from the top back onto the cake. Frost top and side with 1 1/2 pints whipping cream sweetened with 3 tablespoons sugar and a little vanilla. Refrigerate. Can be decorated with pineapple chunks and maraschino cherries.
