PECAN SANDIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. 10X sugar
1 tbsp. water
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. pecans, finely chopped
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Cream butter then add 10X sugar, vanilla and water; mix until thoroughly blended and then add flour and pecans. Form dough into small balls. Dust hands with powdered sugar while working with dough. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 300 degrees. Dredge with powdered sugar while still hot. 4 dozen.
