DANDELION BLOSSOM WINE | |
To 1 gallon water add 3 quarts yellow dandelion blossoms (separated from the stalks) and cook for 10 minutes, cool to lukewarm. Then for each 5 gallons add 1 small yeast cake, 2 lemons, 2 oranges, each sliced thin and 1 pound seeded raisins. Let stand 1 week to ferment, stirring each day. Press out the juice and for each gallon add 3 pounds sugar. Stir to dissolve sugar, then place wine in a crock or barrel fermentation is complete. Transfer to bottles or leave in barrel or crock. |
