TEXAS SHEET CAKE
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 sticks butter
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of cinnamon
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda

FROSTING:

1 stick butter (melted)
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans or walnuts

Mix baking soda with sour cream and set aside. In a large saucepan boil water, cocoa and butter. Add, a little at a time, 1/2 of the flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Stir in eggs. Add the balance of the dry ingredients. Fold in sour cream and soda mixture.

Pour into a sheet cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

While cake is baking, mix the frosting and bring to boil. Set frosting on top of stove away from direct heat. Spread the warm frosting on the cake while cake is still hot. Frosting will form glaze.
