CRABMEAT AU GRATIN 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. half & half
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lb. backfin crabmeat, remove any shells
3/4 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
Buttered bread crumbs
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sherry

Melt butter over low heat, stir in flour, then half & half, salt, pepper and sherry until mixture thickens. Then add cheese and crabmeat. Pour mixture into buttered 1 1/2 quart glass baking dish. Top with bread crumbs and small bits of butter over top of all. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20-30 minutes. Serves 4.
