CRANBERRY AMARETTO CHUTNEY WITH
CREAM CHEESE
 
2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
2 c. cranberries
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. + 1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. Amaretto
1 tbsp. orange marmalade

Shape softened cream cheese in any way desired. Refrigerate. Combine cranberries, sugar and lemon juice in small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat; add Amaretto and orange marmalade; stir until blended. Cool mixture to room temperature. About 15 minutes before serving, remove cream cheese from refrigerator and top with cranberry mixture. Best served with whole wheat crackers. May be served hot or cold with meat.
